Over my career, I have been in various roles and have assisted organizations in developing their systems to allow their staff to become more effective at their jobs. I do not talk with engineering buzzwords and try to keep the discussions at a business level as a way to convey information where clients can quickly grasp the concepts and collaborate on their terms.
Along the way, I have influenced or otherwise assisted team members in adopting new practices to become more effective at delivering solutions, or to ease their work efforts. These influcences have reduced their list of mundane tasks which, in turn, allows them to focus on enhancing the business systems they support.
For some clients, I have recently been referring them to a great organization, AdapTech, which uses an Event-based architecture and event modeling as part of the engagement to discover the true needs of the business, as well as build a market-ready solution at a fraction of the cost of traditional development practices.
For most clients, where the skill set of AdapTech cannot be applied to their project, I take them on personally, or I build a team of development personnel that are are domestic or international, as skill sets require. In doing so, it is far easier to deliver value to my clients that would otherwise be difficult to accomplish.
